A Message To My Neighbors

Dear Neighbor,

Times are tougher than ever and we are working hard to maintain our homes and provide for our families. Yet, I believe in the Atlanta area’s promise of a thriving community where we can live, work, and enjoy a quality of life parallel to any other community. That’s why I’m running to be your next State Representative for the 58th District. If elected, I will work hard to bring good paying jobs, improve public safety, better our schools, and access to affordable health care to our district. I will work for all of us.

Atlanta is my home and as a child growing up here, I volunteered my time to make our community better. Service is a way of life for me because of people like you who have invested in me and shaped me to become the person I am today. As an attorney, I advocate for people everyday who have seen their individual rights and livelihood at stake. At the same time, I have observed the impact of laws that negatively affect the viability of our community and require improvement. This is why I want to serve as your Representative at the Georgia Legislature and why I want to make things better for the people and community I have loved my entire life.

I want to work for you and get to know you better. I invite you to call me, email me, and even visit me. I want to hear from you and hope to earn your vote during the upcoming special election. Special interests captivate the attention of too many at the Gold Dome. If elected, I promise to change that by always working hard and always working for you.

Sincerely,
Asha Jackson

Thanks District 58! Please Vote for me again for the December 1st run-off!

Dear friends, neighbors, and supporters of House District 58,

Thank you so  much for casting the most votes for me on November 3rd. I am both humbled and excited to have made it into the run-off on December 1st.  It puts me that much closer to being able to serve you and work hard to make our district safe and more enjoyable.

I have met so many of you at your front doors, in your yards, the street, at games, neighborhood meetings, worship centers, community gatherings, schools, parties, the grocery store, nail salons, shops, and resturants and one thing is certain;  you love Atlanta like I do and want to see our district-Dekalb and Fulton County thrive and become a community we all enjoy.

That’s why I am working hard to become your State Representative on December 1st. I want to work on the issues that are important to all of you and though they differ from person to person, together we will have a district we can all be proud of.  Please feel free to call me at (404)329-4545 or email me personally at ashafor58@gmail.com.  I want you to know that I am available to you and when elected, I will continue to work hard for you everyday!!!

Thanks for your support and I’ll see you at the polls once again on December 1st!!!

HOPE CLINIC WAS A SUCCESS!!!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Every year, I recruit medical professionals who give their time and talent to provide free medical care to the community through the Ray of Hope Christian Church’s “Hope Clinic”.  Hope Clinic 2009 took place Saturday at SW Dekalb High School and 300 + individuals from all over metro Atlanta received free health care, pharmaceutical drugs, dental care, clothing, and food.  We thank these medical professionals for their commitment to providing free, quality health care to all individuals regardless of socio-economic status or condition.

Campaign Moving Ahead to Victory on November 3rd!

Dear friends,

What a great week it’s been in Atlanta. On Tuesday, September 1st, I officially qualified to run to be your next State Representative at the Secretary of State’s Office. I then attended the Crime Rally in Kirkwood, the State Democratic Caucus fundraiser at the Commerce Club, and the Georgia Young Democrats meeting at Manuel’s Tavern.  On Wednesday, I stood proudly with so many of you down at the Capitol, who believe that health care for all of America is a necessity that cannot wait. I also met so many of you who represent our great labor force in Georgia at the annual labor day picnic.  I have talked to many of you in the grocery store, churches, playgrounds, dog walks, and in the neighborhood. You have welcomed me into your homes and told me all about your children and grandchildren, your careers, your neighbors, and your vision for our district. I look forward to meeting many more of you and to learning about the issues of concern to you in our community.  Happy Labor Day weekend!
